Things to do in Kent
As well as having a number of different events throughout the year Kent also has a number of attractions that are popular with all the family to visit. Kent isn't just a young family place either, we are positive that you will be able to find something to do and entertain yourself with whatever age your family is, or whether you are a group of friends looking for a weekend away. There are places to visit throughout Kent that will all have numerous activities to offer. Below we will list a number of these attractions, tell you where you can find them as well as the best times to go;
Diggerland - this is part of the Medway Valley Leisure park, and it for both children and adults as it is equally loved by both groups. At Diggerland you are able to take your pick of several construction vehicle's to drive around a course, and there is no limit on the amount of times you can take them for a ride. They also have the Diggerland train, this is a dumper truck that will take you around the park, this is something that children tend to love the most.
Tenterden Golf Club - located in Kent's most scenic and picturesque part of the countryside with a number wildlife to look out for. This is defiantly a place for the golf lovers, with a great day on the golf course on offer and then a choice of great restaurants there's nothing more you could be looking for. If you are wanting a golfing break then you can get a holiday ticket, the cost of the ticket includes any cost of any golfing during your holiday, or you can have a golfing break that offers a package of golfing and accommodation.
Fun on the coast - Kent has a number of great coast lines that offer you tons of fun, whether you make it yourself or take part in some of the activities they have to offer you. Some of the most popular places to visit include Margate where you can learn to sail, or if you already know you can try out sailing to Whitstable. Another popular place for sailing is the Isle of Sheppey, there you can take to the waves and even try out jet-skiing at Herne Bay. Or if you fancy you go at surfing, or if you can already surf you can hang out at Joss Bay and try out the waves.
Outdoor fun - Kent is famous for its outdoors so you've got to experience them to the fullest, you can take your pick from what you fancy as the choice is so huge and varied. You can go from horse racing at Folkestone, to sailing in Bewl water, in this area you can also try your hand at snowboarding and skiing on the slopes at Folkstone too. There is also plenty of outdoor adventures to go on, there is Go Ape in the tree tops of Bedgebury Forest, so whilst you enjoy your adventures on the wire lines, you will be able to see some of the most fantastic views.
